Root Beer Marinated Pork Chops

Our soda manager has been cooking with soda lately!  She made these delicious pork chops marinated in a Grand Teton Brewing Root Beer marinade. Yum!

Give her recipe a try and let us know how it turns out.

For the marinade:

  • Two 1″ thick pork chops
  • One 12 ounce bottle of Grand Teton Brewing Root Beer
  • 1 TBS soy sauce
  • 1 TBS grated ginger
  • 1 TBS garlic
  • 1 TBS sesame oil
  • splash Siracha
  • salt and pepper to taste

For the sauce:

  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Grand Teton Brewing Root Beer
  • 2 TBS olive oil
  • 1 TBS soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • pinch garlic powder
  • pinch smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Combine all marinade ingredients in large bowl or container big enough to fit the pork chops.  Marinate chops for 4-6 hours.  Grill chops on preheated grill until no longer pink in the center – about 7 minutes per side.  In a small saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients except cornstarch and water. Bring to a boil.  Combine water and cornstarch in a small bowl and whisk it into the sugar mixture.  Whisk until thick and remove from heat.  Pour sauce over cooked chops and enjoy!
